What's the catch?

Three honest answers to the questions consumers ask most.

Is this legal?

Yes. Federal RESPA Section 8(c) explicitly allows cooperative broker-to-broker referrals — including rebates passed to consumers — in 40 states. The 10 states where rebates aren't allowed: AL, AK, IA, KS, LA, MS, MO, OK, OR, TN. We're transparent: we share our referral fee directly with you.

Will I get a worse agent?

No. CloseMint matches you with vetted local agents Licensed 5+ years, no major complaints, top quartile production in their market. from established brokerages — typically agents with 6+ closed transactions in the last year. The same caliber of agent you'd find on your own, just with a rebate attached.

What if I already have an agent?

If you've already signed an exclusive buyer-broker or listing agreement with an agent, we can't help on this transaction. But we can save the next one for you. (Talking to an agent ≠ signed — call us first.)

When does the money arrive?

At closing. Your rebate appears as a credit on your Closing Disclosure / settlement statement. Buyer rebates require lender approval — most lenders allow it, but we'll confirm yours during the match.

The CloseMint difference

Three reasons consumers and agents choose us.

01

Lower fees

We use a tiered structure that's competitive with modern lead-gen networks. That means more agents in the network, lower turnover, better service for you.

02

Bigger rebate

We pass up to 50% of our referral fee back to you. Most networks keep it all.

03

Single-agent leads

Your lead routes to one vetted local agent — not 5 competing agents from a bidding pool. Better service, less spam.
